Balsareny Castle, declared a cultural asset of national interest in 1949, is without a doubt the most representative and emblematic monument of the town and one of the best known in the region.

It is a fortification dated 951 and a good example of a Catalan civil Gothic fortress.

Every Saturday of the month there are guided tours in the morning at 11 am and 12 noon, which allow you to get to know and enjoy this medieval fortress in the middle of nature.

On the first Saturday of the month there are theatrical visits in the afternoon (consult timetable), which allow you to discover how people lived in the Middle Ages through anecdotes and legends of the castle. An ideal activity to do as a family.
