Of this 14.5km and 258.6m route, the monastery of Sant Benet de Bages stands out as the undisputed jewel of Romanesque art. The whole monastery, located between the municipalities of Navarcles and Sant Fruitós de Bages, preserves the entire cloister, with capitals of great sculptural richness and architectural elements that make it one of the greatest representations of the Catalan Romanesque. The outbuildings and spaces include remnants of Roman, pre-Romanesque, Romanesque, Gothic and later times. Its charm captivated the family of the modernist painter Ramon Casas, who acquired the property and turned it into his summer residence with the help of Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Currently, Món Sant Benet offers a lot of cultural, gastronomic and tourist proposals for all audiences.
The route continues with the stops of Sant Bartomeu de Navarcles and Sant Jaume d’Olzinelles.
